[The Glory Unveiled]
The LORD replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” ( Exodus 33:14 )
Moses met the LORD on their way to Canaan. But before this encounter, Moses had met God a few times. Yet at this point he was tired of the routines and the fact that nothing was significant about them. God had been telling him to lead the people to the land of promise. Moses wanted the other nations to know that the Lord is their God. So God promises him that His presence will go with him. This statement is a heavy package. As Believers in these times, we need nothing more than we need the presence of God. The presence of God guarantees rest. The presence also reveals and announces the glory of God over our lives. Without God’s presence, His glory cannot be seen nor felt. In these days, we need to secure the presence of God with us and then watch every other thing fall in place. The presence of God is the present that announces the absence of labour. Moses said, without the presence of God, he will not go on the journey. Beloved, have we embarked on any journey that God is absent from? Without the presence of God our efforts will amount to nothing. Anywhere the presence of God is scarce, the voice of the devil is present.
Prayer_Bead: Shepherd of my soul, I give you full control, wherever you will be, I will go, wherever you will lead, I will follow. Let the glory of your presence punctuate my life.
