[The Glory Unveiled]
So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. [ Hebrews 10:35 NIV ]
Confidence is one of the greatest possessions a man can carry. There are many things we hold onto in life that are unnecessary burdens, but there are also things we cannot afford to lose because they are priceless. One of those things is confidence—especially for the man or woman who has submitted their life to God. A believer without confidence will struggle to walk fully in the purposes of God. Confidence fuels courage. It gives us the strength to step into the realities of God’s promises instead of merely admiring them from a distance. There are assignments God places before us, doors He expects us to walk through, and territories He calls us to possess. But without confidence, many people never even take the first step. This is why Scripture says not to cast away our confidence, because it carries a great reward. Confidence moves us into the place where God desires His glory to be revealed. When faith-filled confidence pushes us to obey, God Himself takes over. Heaven backs the man who dares to move at God’s word. Many times, the greatest battle is not the task itself, but the hesitation before it. Fear magnifies our weakness, but confidence magnifies the power of God at work within us. When we embrace holy confidence, we stop depending on ourselves and begin moving in the strength of Christ. Then people no longer see mere human ability; they begin to see Jesus revealed through us. Our confidence becomes evidence that Christ is alive and active within us. And the reward of that confidence is powerful: we see God fulfill His promises, we represent the interests of heaven faithfully, and the name of Jesus is exalted through our lives. Do not throw away your confidence. Guard it. Feed it with God’s Word. Strengthen it through obedience. Because the confidence that is rooted in Christ will always lead to glory.
